Funding Solutions and Grants

As funding sources continue to be harder to come by and increasingly competitive, HKGi began to develop an expertise in helping our clients identify new ways to fund projects. This includes working collaboratively with public finance experts; however, it also includes being knowledgeable and skilled at finding and securing grant resources or leveraging partnerships. Staying up to date on current funding sources and opportunities can be an overwhelming experience. It can also consume a great deal of staff time and resources. In response to these challenges, HKGi developed a financial resource tool that tracks and monitors various grants and technical assistance programs. The tool gives us the ability to stay up to date on hundreds of federal, state, local and non-profit grants from start to finish. Another unique opportunity this tool offers is its ability to filter grants based on a project's characteristics. With the help of this tool we are able to assist our clients in efficiently pursuing funding to help implement projects. Not only do we align projects with funding sources, but we help write the story, navigate the grant submittal process, and assist with administering the funding. Since 2010, HKGi has helped our clients secure over $13 million in grant funding. Clients we have assisted with grant writing include:
