PUBLIC INPUT AND INVOLVEMENT
HKGi is known for its creative and effective approach to engaging the public and stakeholders in planning and design projects. Over the past 30 years, HKGi has crafted a variety of public input/involvement techniques to involve a wide variety of individuals, interest groups and citizen organizations. Our thoughtful approach to input has proven to improve quality, build support, and enhance implementation for our clients.
There are no off-the-shelf public involvement and communications programs that will
work for every community. Instead, HKGi structures specific communications and public involvement plans that fit the unique dynamics of both the project and the community. We strive to create meaningful hands-on community events rather than static meetings and we create multiple methods of input (verbal, written, on-line, drawing, ranking, games, surveys, exercises, site walks, etc.) to assure convenient and meaningful input from a broad range of constituents.
