Ingraham and Associates along with HKGI, The 106 Group, and Barr Engineering, developed a Master Plan for Thompson County Park completed in early 2005. The park is a popular park in West St. Paul and an important node along a regional trail corridor through Dakota County. I&A prepared a county wide park specific recreational needs analysis using mail back surveys and focus group meetings. Specific input for Thompson Park was gathered through a consultant/staff walk through of the park, a series of public open house meetings and park commission meetings. The park plan includes an events area, multiple rain gardens, a unique constructed skating pond, a plaza area, an art walk, and a planned system of paved and unpaved trails. I&A prepared cost estimates, phases, and implementation and management recommendations.
