Ingraham & Associates and Gary Hittle prepared the master plan for Putting GREEN, which is a unique and visionary environmental learning park along the Minnesota River in New Ulm, MN. The plan combines interactive environmental learning focused on sustainability within an 18-hole mini golf course. Each hole, or learning station, is based on a different environmental theme. The plan features:
- An interpretive center
- Trails
- Rain gardens
- A river research monitoring station
- A performance stage
- Outdoor rooms designed to educate visitors about habitat and ecosystems
The plan incorporates the use of recycled materials including benches and eco-pavers used on the outdoor terrace. The performance stage serves as a civic space for outdoor events.
