The Bassett Creek Valley Master Plan sets forth a new vision for Bassett Creek Valley, advocating redevelopment of an outmoded industrial landscape into a new urban village of vibrant mixed-use districts and quiet residential streets. The plan promotes restoration of long-neglected Bassett Creek as the symbolic thread knitting together the Valley's urban fabric. New parks and open spaces will provide recreational and social opportunities for all ages and interests and interconnect the Valley with an impressive collection of trails and walkways.
The plan proposes three thousand new housing units, 2.5 million square feet of commercial space and 40 acres of newly-established open space.
