HKGi assisted the community of Woodbury with planning services for one of their primer future growth areas. Working with WSB Associates, HKGi integrated the planning and alignment for a major trunk sewer line extension with potential future development patterns and land uses in the area. HKGI worked closely with the city engineering, planning and parks and trails departments to ensure all the goals of the city were being met. Various routings of the trunk line were explored in conjunction with collector roadway alignments, regional trail facilities and overall development patterns envisioned by both landowner and the community of Woodbury. Ultimately, the planning work provides the framework for infrastructure planning in the area, while still allowing for the most flexibility given the individual land owner desires and economic conditions.
